Community Outreach

We believe that a practice’s long-term success lies within its community. Thus, it is our duty to help our community grow by giving back as much as we can.

Kid Focus Dentistry not only participates in programs such as Give Kids a Smile Day, but we have also developed community outreach programs such as Tooth School to provide dental health education to area preschools.

Girl Scouts Trade Candy for Toothbrushes!

We are giving a shout out to Vivianne Kaltenbach with Brownie Troop #2768 at Kiffin Elementary for her outstanding community services. Miss Vivianne came into our office and asked if she could trade in her Halloween candy for tooth brushes. She told us the wonderful story of how her Brownie troop was making practical baskets for homeless and runaway teens, and she wanted to trade in her Halloween candy for toothpaste and toothbrushes to help them. Of course, we jumped at the opportunity to support this little girl with a big heart.

Way to go Vivianne Kaltenbach and Brownie’s troop #2768 in supporting our community.

Jefferson County Head Start Tooth School

On October 24, and November 7th & 14th 2012, we were excited to present: Tooth School at Jefferson County Head Start, in Arvada.  Tooth School was a fun and interactive experience where we were able to show 450 children how to brush and take care of their teeth.  The kids got to interact with Diny (our puppet dinosaur) and help brush his teeth.  They also learned a lot of cool dental facts; like what foods are good for your oral health, and what snacks are bad for kids’ teeth.  The Kid Focus Dentistry team thoroughly enjoyed their experience at Head Start.  We hope that these preschoolers had fun learning about their oral health…and how to be cavity free!
