Everything you need to know about Fluoride
Introduction
Fluoride has been added to water supplies, toothpaste, and other products for its health benefits since the 1940’s. Since that time, the methods of fluoride delivery have been extensively researched and have evolved. Today, fluoridation is the single most effective public health policy to prevent tooth decay and maintain oral health over a lifetime.
However, people have recently had controversy about the effectiveness of fluoride, and their fear of negative side effects has increased. But we believe that parents can feel comfortable with fluoride use if they understand fluoride as a whole: from its actions to its delivery systems, to its side effects.
